It was not an easy job and the specialists from the Museum or mandated by the Museum who took care of this task performed a magnificent work.   The booklet describing the making of the de Caters is also now available thanks to André.   We have also new pictures of the Tipsy restorations. The current activities are focused on preparing the engine and the propeller. A new spiller was acquired from the UK and Bruno is manufacturing the parts needed to assemble this part.   We have no new pictures of the B-25 restoration. but an important agreement was discussed this week to permit the restoration of the tail unit. This ensemble was already under restoration  but the new sponsoring will permit us to spread theses activities. We already announced the signature of an insurance contract for volunteers working on the B-25. We received the last details. The contract reference is 03/00.542.035/02 and covers the activities for 2 years and 12 volunteers. (There is still room for you). 1.500.000 Euro is covered by this contract.   Our friends of the Belgians in RAF & SAAF 1940-1945 team discovered the journal of a Belgian mechanic who served with Aeronautique Militaire, escaped to the UK and joined the Royal Air Force. It is a very interesting and vivid document.   There are other interesting discoveries. Pascal send us a link to the team restoring Mosquitoes in New Zealand. For Mosquitos maniacs, there is also a link to the promising Airfix 1/24th scale model. Look at the video based onthe Cad drawings used for preparing the model to have an idea of the complexity of this model and to better understand what Eric is busy to do restoring the cockpit. In the video section you will also find another link about the building of a replica Albatros DIII.   We added to www.bamf.be a new folder about good practice in restoration. Although for many years aircraft restoration was typically in the hands of skilled amateurs, things are changing. We published three interesting references about the ethic of restoration. We hope to publish more soon.      The lists of André Dillien are now up to date and on the Renard R-31 is the subject of the last update of the “aircraft build in Belgium” by Jean-Pierre Decocq.
