The MS-406 of Wladyslaw Chciuk Posted: 11 Oct 2011 01:02 PM PDT The Museum du souvenir in Haut Wastia display the rudder of a Morane MS-406 (N° 948) shot down in May 1940 thanks to our friend Eric who discovered some years ago this unique piece of history. The pilot of this aircraft was Wladyslaw Chciuk who survived the crash and had a distinguish career flying with the Royal Air Force. The first flight of the prototype was made on September 1944.Approximately 1100 planes have been produced until the 1955.
