Information about Douglas C-47 LX-DKT,F-BEIG

Michel Huart collects information about the Dakota F-BEIG, LX-DKT who recently arrived at the Dakota Documentation Centre in Melsbroek. He has already accumulated a lot of information but any further information is allways welcome.

The Douglas C-47-A-DL c/n 10253 was in use with the 8th TCS ( Troop Carrier Squadron) in North Africa, Italy and maybe in France, sold as surplus in April 1946. Does anyone have more about the use of the aircraft with the AAF ?
